Vocal Somatic Regulation
Explore an unique approach that combines somatic fine-tuning and embodiment with functional voice work.
Drawing on my extensive training in Somatic Experiencing®, Haptic Gamma Embodiment, Body-Mind Centering® and the Lichtenberger Method of applied Voice Physiology®,
I developed an approach that merges therapeutic depth with creative freedom.
My background as an actress allows me to create a safe container where the therapeutic effect of Vocal Somatic Integration can unfold in a playful, joyful yet profound way.
Your journey of
self discovery and transformation begins with your voice
Regulation - Connection - Embodiment
For whom is it for ?
For professionals in therapeutic settings & for somatic practitioners:
understanding and engaging with their own voice can become a powerful tool for both self-regulation and co-regulation with clients.
Exploring one's own voice not only refines body awareness and enhances expressive range but also deepens whole-body listening skills and strengthens the capacity to be present with others, while sending cues of safety and connection.
For individuals who long for genuine connection but find it challenging to be seen and heard:
often, they may feel inhibited in expressing themselves, as if their voices are held back by deep-seated beliefs or chronic tensions.
They yearn for confident connections with others yet may find themselves retreating when it’s time to openly express their thoughts and emotions.
Many clients have faced early negative feedback about their voices, leading to a lasting hesitancy to express freely, as if using their voices became something “dangerous” or “unwanted.”
This work is especially supportive for those dealing with stress, anxiety, and the effects of traumatic experiences.
Vocal Somatic Regulation offers a fresh perspective on self-care and well-being, encouraging clients to rediscover and nurture their voices. As a complementary modality, it can be a valuable support alongside psychotherapy, enhancing one’s journey toward healing and self-expression.
Why the Voice?
The human voice is one of our most intimate and revealing forms of expression, a mirror of our inner world.
Every emotion we feel resonates in our voice, whether it’s joy, excitement, sadness, anger, or exhaustion.
This tonal “language” of our voice affects how others perceive us, influencing whether they feel drawn to listen, retreat, or stay open.
When stress, anxiety, depression, physical strain, illness, trauma, or restrictive social norms become chronic, they can restrict the body’s natural vitality, including the voice’s expressive freedom. The larynx, our vocal organ, is particularly sensitive to stress and pressure. When the body tenses, the larynx’s ability to vibrate freely is reduced, and this tension shows up in voices that sound pressed, breathy, monotone, or strained. When faced with overwhelming internal or external pressure, the larynx may even “shut down” as a protective response, leaving us literally “speechless” or with a “lump in our throat.”
The autonomic nervous system is directly reflected in our vocal expression, and conversely, vocal work can be used to influence and regulate autonomic states.

How does it work?
Your Voice a pathway to the Nervous System & Vagus Nerve
Your voice is directly connected to your nervous system and can influence the vagus nerve—the nerve of rest, digest & relax.
Through your voice you can learn how to soothe yourself and to stay grounded when you connect with others.
In this way, a sense of safety grows within you, enabling you to handle challenging situations like speaking up in meetings, speaking in front of a camera, public speaking or just telling others how you feel. These situations often go hand in hand with a shortness of breath, anxiety, or a lump in your throat.
But this can change!
Your voice can also guide and support you along your path!
Experiencing how it feels like to be more confident while using your voice, will help you to share your inner experience & gifts with others with more ease!
Connecting with others then feels lighter, more natural and joyous.
VOCAL SOMATIC REGULATION is NOT about mastering a specific technique; rather, it’s about connecting with the wisdom of your body and voice.
Your body then becomes an instrument of resonance, helping you to develop a full vocal function & helping you to anchor in the present moment.
Through vocal resonance and specific frequencies, strained speech and chronic tension can be gently regulated.
This allows for a freer, more fluid expression of yourself!
